Workshop Series

“Play | Intuition | Embodiment”

In collaboration with Ang Gey Pin, Young People’s Performing Arts Ensemble proudly presents workshop series “Play | Intuition | Embodiment”. Workshops will be conducted in both English and Mandarin.

Gey Pin is an experienced theatre performer and educator. Over the years, she has travelled around the world, immersing and practising in the realm of theatre arts in different countries. Years of cross-cultural and cross-borders ventures have widen her perspectives. Gey Pin’s teaching is open and flexible, intended and suitable for people of all ages and backgrounds.

In Gey Pin’s teaching and practice, she emphasizes on the seamless integration of one’s bodymind; the embodiment of one’s soul. In the fast-paced lifestyle of our modern society, this practice brings participants back to basics. Not only does it sit well with theatre practitioners, but also beneficial for theatre beginners and enthusiasts.

Rooted in the disciplines of theatre and humanities, this workshop series aims to be a platform for theatre research and practice for local performing arts practitioners and enthusiasts, encouraging further pursuance of the theatre arts.

Participants will learn to create and live more in tune with their inner life through the workshop, which may be put to use in different aspects of everyday life; leading them towards intuitive living and being.
